Hello all you photographers! First of all, I love you. I love the magic that photographers are able to capture of families, weddings, babies etc. I had a small photography business in Lander, Wyoming from 2017-2019. It was so fun but I had to put it away when my baby was born. One of my favorite things was putting the blog posts together after the photos were all edited and ready to be presented to the world.
When the Booth family requested a session in late November in Pinedale, Wyoming, I couldn’t resist! First of all, they are the most laid-back family to photograph and secondly, they are my in-laws so I couldn’t say no to seeing my little niece again.
The Booth Family | Christmas 2016
Pinedale, Wyoming in late November is far from warm. However, when I asked if they wanted to put coats on and have a “bundled up look” they said no and bravely fought the cold weather to get the perfect shots! I on the other hand was bundled up behind the camera with many layers on!

We found the coziest little spot nestled into the trees near Half Moon Lake. The trees cast a perfect shadow and allowed just enough light to peep through. Their dog, Kona, even joined us for a few shots.
We had so much fun and eventually went into the house to have warm hot chocolate and a snack!
I am always in awe of client’s ability to forget the cold weather on sessions like these in order to get the perfect shot of their family in this season of life.
