Abby Tweeten is the driving force behind the Loveland, Colorado based company Tweeten Nutrition. She started Tweeten Nutrition in 2021 with the launch of her Holistic Health Transformation course. Abby has a background in nursing and spent many years after graduating from the University of Wyoming nursing program in 2013 as a nurse in Gillette, Wyoming and Bend, Oregon.

She was inspired to start her own business when she realized her nursing career wasn’t as aligned with her beliefs of holistic health as she was hoping it would be. She also gained experience through her own health struggles through learning about holistic ways to treat issues that didn’t necessarily fit the status quo prescribed by doctors. She improved her health through nutrition and lifestyle changes and was inspired to help others do the same!
As she dove more into natural medicine, nutritional therapy and holistic, root cause approaches, Abby says, “I knew I wanted to empower other women to be aware of the possibility to do the same for themselves. I couldn’t not share my knowledge, strategies, tools, and steps to healing and health with other women who feel they’ve run out of answers.”

After a decade of suffering from a chronic cough only to find out the cough was a side effect of the birth control she had been taking to suppress horrible menstrual symptoms, she became frustrated and turned towards holistic health. During her research of holistic health she discovered that treating the symptom doesn’t get us very far. Treating the entire self can heal the symptom, and heal other issues such as bloating, acne, inflammation, body odor, mood swings, insomnia, anxiety, brain fog and so much more. Abby realized that after she dropped her birth control her hormones spiraled into horrible places for a few months until she could balance those out and amazingly stop her decade-long cough from coming back – all through holistic health.
Abby can attest to the fact that balancing hormones through shifting macronutrients in her diet and balancing her lifestyle choices through weight lifting, stress, rest, and learning about the phases in a woman’s monthly cycle all attributed to her finding health again.
All small business owners know how hard it is to keep the passion of running a business going, especially in the beginning. Abby’s “why” for pursuing this small business is to help other women find health and freedom through holistic health and nutrition. She surrounds herself with like-minded women who keep her inspired and, of course, when her clients see results it lights a fire under her to keep going!
If you are thinking about starting your own business Abby recommends to start showing up on one platform and share! Start talking about it with people, document what you’re learning, and don’t be afraid to tell people about what you are passionate about! People love to see what you’re learning and how it could apply to their lives. She says, “People won’t know about your business unless you talk about it all the time so don’t be afraid to do that! They can unfollow you if they get annoyed but more people than not will be interested in what you’ve been up to.”

Abby is looking forward to helping more women change their nutrition and thus their health, energy, sleep, blood sugar, gut health and so much more in the coming years of owning Tweeten Nutrition. She is planning on upgrading her online course to allow for even better results for her students, and continuing education for herself as she rocks a precious new baby girl coming this summer.
