5 years ago my mom and I released a joint mother-daughter duo project into the world. South Pass: The Gateway to the West came from 9 months of planning, researching and writing together. The only other joint accomplishment we have together was back in 2014 when she graduated with her Masters on the same day I graduated with my Bachelors degree from the college of Education from the University of Wyoming. That was a special day as well.
This mother-daughter project was birthed from the fact that I couldn’t find any children’s books when I was visiting the South Pass Visitor Center in Wyoming back in 2020. I needed a book for my then 1-year old son to teach him about how neat the South Pass area is. The Booth side of the family has a cabin near there.
